R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Alpine Community Credit Union is commemorating 50 years of exceptional service to area citizens on April 24, 2004, at a special celebration, and this memorable milestone provides an opportune time to recognize this respected financial institution; and WHEREAS, After filing an application for a state charter and submitting articles of incorporation in March 1954, the credit union, originally named Our Lady of Peace Credit Union, was granted a charter on April 26, 1954; with 10 initial associates, including the institution's first member, Father VonderHarr, the credit union was established and began serving the community with pride and distinction; and WHEREAS, Throughout the past 50 years, the credit union has seen many changes and experienced profound growth, and today this esteemed organization boasts 1,741 members and assets worth nearly $7 million; and WHEREAS, Synonymous with quality, dedication, and vision for half a century, Alpine Community Credit Union is truly deserving of commendation for its commitment to excellence; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Alpine Community Credit Union for its 50 years of distinguished service to the community and extend sincere best wishes to all those associated with this outstanding institution; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Alpine Community Credit Union as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
