R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, May 25, 2004, marks a special day for the faculty, staff, and students of Northwest Preparatory Academy Charter School as they celebrate their third annual Eighth Grade Promotional Exercises; and WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion not only serves as the first of many milestones in the educational careers of the event's honorees, but also as a chance to pay tribute to all those associated with the school who work to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence; and WHEREAS, Pledged to providing a balanced program allowing students, prekindergarten through eighth grade, to maximize their potential through meaningful instruction and individualized growth plans, the Northwest Preparatory Academy Charter School opened its doors in August 2001; the school has since enjoyed great success, boasting a 97 percent attendance rate, and offers a challenging research-based curriculum and an array of specialized classes designed to help students master career skills, learn foreign languages, and foster a greater appreciation for the arts; and WHEREAS, The faculty and staff of the Northwest Preparatory Academy have displayed a firm commitment to helping the children of today become the leaders of tomorrow, and the 2004 eighth grade graduates truly demonstrate the notable achievements of this fine school; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate the honorees of the Third Annual Eighth Grade Promotion Exercises, commend all involved with their successes, and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Northwest Preparatory Academy Charter School as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
