H.R. No. 101


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Adam Glen Meyers of Boy Scouts of America Troop 318 in Burleson, Texas, has met the demanding qualifications required of those seeking the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a rare honor, one bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting movement, and by fulfilling the rank's criteria, Mr. Meyers has achieved a remarkable feat; and WHEREAS, To attain the Eagle Scout insignia, Mr. Meyers earned the mandatory 21 merit badges and successfully completed his Eagle Scout project, meeting the final requirements for Eagle Scout on December 16, 2003; and WHEREAS, This fine young Texan is a senior at Crowley High School and enjoys playing percussion in the Mighty Eagle Band; after graduation he plans to attend Brigham Young University; and WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Meyers's dedication to excellence and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and it is truly appropriate that he be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Adam Glen Meyers on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in the years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Meyers as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
