R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Anna Katherine Grudziecke of Waller on April 11, 2004, at the age of six, brought a tremendous loss to the family and many friends of this dearly special little girl; and WHEREAS, A kindergarten student at Rosehill Christian School, Anna enjoyed drawing and coloring, playing with her brothers, and riding her Barbie jeep; she was blessed with a bright smile and warm personality, and she effortlessly captured the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her; and WHEREAS, In her courageous fight against her illness, Anna benefited tremendously from the love and support of her family and many friends, and in return she brought great joy and delight into their lives; and WHEREAS, This remarkable child displayed resilience, determination, and strength beyond her years, and she proved that the mightiest of spirits can exist in the smallest of bodies; and WHEREAS, Although it is immeasurably painful to say good-bye to one so young, it is fitting to remember that while Anna's time here was all too brief, her life profoundly affected those around her, and her memory will surely continue to inspire the countless individuals whose lives she touched; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor the life of Anna Katherine Grudziecke and extend deepest sympathy to her family: to her parents, Robert and Rhonda Grudziecke; to her brothers, Will and John; to her grandparents, Florence Grudziecke and Frank and Lyn Flewellen; to her godparents, Rich and Diane King; and to the other relatives and many friends of this beloved little girl; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Anna Katherine Grudziecke.
