R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary is a momentous event in 
the lives of two people, and Robert "Bob" and Colleen Werner of 
Longview celebrated this special occasion with a family gathering 
on April 24, 2004; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on April 23, 1944, in Belpre, 
Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Werner have shared an enduring union blessed with 
six children:  Shirley Kaiser, Robert L. Werner, Mary Jane Davis, 
Dorcas Maglott, Bill Werner, and Roy Werner; over the years, they 
have proudly watched their family grow to include 15 grandchildren 
and three great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Werner moved to Longview in 1969, where 
Mr. Werner was a self-employed band instrument repairman; valued 
members of the community, they attend the Macedonia Baptist Church, 
where he teaches an adult Sunday school class; and
	WHEREAS, For more than six decades, this devoted couple have 
nurtured a strong bond of love, filling each other's lives with many 
happy times and cherished family memories, and it is a pleasure to 
honor them for the life they have built together; now, therefore, be 
it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Bob and 
Colleen Werner on the joyous occasion of their 60th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Werner as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
