R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th birthday is truly cause for a celebration,
and on May 21, 2004, Debbie Godwin of Tyler will observe this
significant milestone in her life; and
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, she was born and
raised in Tyler, where she attended Robert E. Lee High School and
Tyler Junior College; and
WHEREAS, In 1984, Ms. Godwin embarked on a career in the legal
field, working for William Wayne Justice, chief federal judge for
the Eastern District of Texas; after a distinguished nine-year
tenure, she went on to serve as a certified legal assistant for the
law firm of Bain, Files, Jarrett and Bain, where she continues to
share her expertise as a respected staff member; and
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Godwin enjoys the support
of her family, including her son, Clinton James Magee and her
daughter, Paige Morgan Magee; and
WHEREAS, This devoted mother and respected professional is a
source of pride and inspiration to family and friends alike, and as
she celebrates her 50th birthday, she may reflect with pride on her
myriad achievements and look to the future with great anticipation
and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Debbie Godwin on the
memorable occasion of her 50th birthday and extend to her sincere
best wishes for continued happiness and good fortune; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Godwin as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
