R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Since its inception, the San Antonio Chapter of the Huston-Tillotson College Alumni Association has been an invaluable asset to its alma mater; and WHEREAS, The association is dedicated to serving the alumni, friends, and students of the college through programs, scholarships, and activities that foster loyalty and continued involvement in the life of the school; and WHEREAS, The Huston-Tillotson College Alumni Association has more than 15 charter chapters throughout the Lone Star State and beyond, and during the 2002-2003 fiscal year, this outstanding group was able to help present the college with nearly $500,000; and WHEREAS, The alumni association plays a crucial role in assisting Huston-Tillotson students and in advancing the mission of this proud college, and for its continued support, the San Antonio Chapter is most deserving of recognition; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor the San Antonio Chapter of the Huston-Tillotson College Alumni Association for its many contributions to the college and extend to its members best wishes for continued success with their many worthy endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
