H.R. No. 264



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Jim and Joy Garner of Houston recently marked a 
golden milestone in their long and happy union when they celebrated 
their 50th wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Garner first met the love of his life in a small 
church in Davenport, Oklahoma; he heard a beautiful voice, high and 
clear as a bell, and turned to see a lovely young woman; and
	WHEREAS, Since that time, the couple have nurtured a strong 
bond that continues to grow ever stronger in love, respect, and 
mutual adoration; and
	WHEREAS, Together, the Garners have shared the trials and 
triumphs of five decades, and their enduring union remains a source 
of joy and strength to those with whom they share the richness of 
their lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Jim and Joy Garner on 
the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Garner as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
