H.R. No. 317



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Karen Benzel-Evans of Pflugerville recently earned 
an outstanding score on the SAT, an achievement that places her in 
an elite group of the nation's top students; and
	WHEREAS, A seventh-grader at Park Crest Middle School, Miss 
Benzel-Evans took the exam through the Duke University Talent 
Identification Program, which recognizes gifted children and 
provides resources to nurture their development; and
	WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional initiative and maturity, 
this admirable young woman has inspired all who know her with her 
enthusiasm for learning, and she is a source of great pride to her 
family and to the faculty and students of Park Crest Middle School; 
and
	WHEREAS, Karen Benzel-Evans has demonstrated a deeply rooted 
commitment to academic excellence, and it is a pleasure to honor her 
as she looks forward to a bright and promising future; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Karen 
Benzel-Evans on earning an outstanding score on the SAT and extend 
to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Miss Benzel-Evans as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
