R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, April 27, 2004, was a joyous day in the lives of State Representative Edmund Kuempel and his wife, Birdie, for on that day they became the proud grandparents of twins; and WHEREAS, Born in Houston, the darling duo surely were the center of attention among staff and patients alike when they made their dramatic debut; William Beherndt weighed in at 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured 18 inches in length, while brother Samuel Chamberlain weighed 4 pounds, 9 ounces, and measured 17-3/4 inches; and WHEREAS, Blessed with a double dose of charm and simply irresistible smiles, Will and Sam have brought boundless joy into the hearts of their parents, John and Michelle Kuempel; and WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a miraculous event, and it is a great pleasure to formally recognize the birth of these precious new Texans and to honor their delighted family; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate State Representative Edmund Kuempel and his wife, Birdie, on the birth of their beloved grandsons and extend to William and Samuel Kuempel sincere best wishes for happiness and success in the years to come; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Kuempel family as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
