SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 7

	WHEREAS, March 18, 2004, will be a day long cherished and 
remembered by Chelsea and Glen Ford, for on that day their son 
Evan LaMonte Ford was born; and

	WHEREAS, The beautiful baby boy arrived at 8:17 a.m.; he 
weighed eight pounds 3.7 ounces and was 20 inches long; and

	WHEREAS, Evan's safe arrival fulfilled his parents' 
dearest wish, and they are joyful over the birth of their new son; 
and

	WHEREAS, This blessed event has brought great happiness to 
Evan's family, and it is indeed appropriate that the Texas Senate 
welcome this new little Texan as a treasured citizen of the
Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby extend congratulations
to Chelsea and Glen Ford and best wishes for the future to
Evan LaMonte Ford; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
the family as a memento of this special day.
