SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 13 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Houston in congratulating William A. "Trey" Stephens III, who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young man has brought honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state in earning the coveted Eagle Badge; and WHEREAS, Trey's service project, designing and installing a memory garden at his church, exemplifies his leadership abilities and is a benefit to his community; and WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the ranks of the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every 100 Boy Scouts earn this distinguished honor; and WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and promise, Trey advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes to Eagle Scout; he is truly an exemplary citizen of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate William A. Stephens III on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Stephens as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
