SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 19

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Pastor and Sister Eugene Segres, Jr., on the occasion 
of the Appreciation and Seventh Pastoral Anniversary celebration 
in honor of their loyal service to Apostolic Faith Church of 
Houston; and
	WHEREAS, Pastor and Sister Eugene Segres, Jr., have 
ministered faithfully for seven years to the members of the church
and to many other Christians in the community; and
	WHEREAS, The celebration is taking place on May 1 and 2, 2004;
the event will also be a celebration of Pastor Segres's 60th 
birthday; and
	WHEREAS, Inspirational and caring, Pastor Eugene Segres, Jr.,
has dedicated his time and energy unselfishly to fulfilling the 
church's holy mission and to helping his congregation; and
	WHEREAS, A deeply spiritual man, he has prayed for and 
counseled church members during their times of hardship and 
bereavement; and
	WHEREAS, Under the superior guidance and stewardship of 
Pastor and Sister Eugene Segres, Jr., Apostolic Faith Church will 
undoubtedly continue to flourish; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby join Apostolic 
Faith Church in commending Pastor and Sister Eugene Segres, Jr., 
on the occasion of the Appreciation and Seventh Pastoral 
Anniversary celebration and extend best wishes to all for a 
memorable event; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
