SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 36
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Centilli family on the grand occasion of their 30th
family reunion, which is being held on the second weekend of
June, 2004; and
WHEREAS, The Centilli family now consists of 88 members who
are the descendants of Floryan Leon Centilli and Mary Pauline Draeger,
longtime residents of Del Rio; Floryan served in the United States
Army and then worked with the United States Border Patrol in Del Rio
for 22 years; Mary was a committed volunteer in the public schools;
they were blessed with eight children, William, Florine, Floryan,
Harold, Frank, John, Gerald, and Patrick; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Centilli family members have proudly
served their nation in the armed forces and loyally served the
people of our state as public schoolteachers and administrators;
and
WHEREAS, The 2004 Centilli family reunion will provide an
opportunity for family members to celebrate their health, their
good fortune, and their wonderful family, which is an enduring
legacy of Floryan and Mary Centilli; and
WHEREAS, The Centilli family members believe in traditional
values and are exemplary citizens, and their reunion is a manifestation
of their commitment to family unity and loyalty; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby extend best wishes to
the members of the Centilli family for a joyous reunion and much
success in the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
Centilli family as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
