SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 106
WHEREAS, Thirty years ago, Richard Sosa Vigil and
Gloria Nunez made a lifetime commitment to each other, and
their mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for they recently
celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Richard and Gloria were married on April 21, 1974,
in Saint Alphonsus Church in Houston, where they continue to be
members; and
WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the
years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Vigil have cherished
traditional family and moral values; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
sorrows of everyday living; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vigil have been blessed with a
wonderful family; their children, Leslie Michelle and Leticia Marie,
and their two grandchildren have been a source of great pride and
joy; and
WHEREAS, Richard has worked with Rhodia Basic Chemical for
15 years; he is active in politics, American Legion Post 472, and
the Knights of Columbus; Gloria is a full-time homemaker, mother,
and grandmother; she is active in the Manchester Civic Club and
the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; and
WHEREAS, The loving relationship that Richard and Gloria
share is truly an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby extend sincere
congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Vigil on their 30th wedding
anniversary; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Mr. and Mrs. Vigil as a memento of this special day.
