SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 111
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Sandra Reese Jolla, who is being honored at the Second Annual Spring Hat and Tea Extravaganza "Salute to Women of Distinction," sponsored by the Minnie H. Goodlow Page Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Incorporated; and WHEREAS, A humanitarian and community leader, Sandra Jolla has been an active member of numerous organizations and has worked throughout her life to empower her fellow citizens and to assist those in need; and WHEREAS, She is noted for her service as a teacher and counselor for women and young adults and as a motivational speaker; vice president of the Minister's Wives group, she is also a volunteer in the Coppell Independent School District; she has organized a community-wide health and holistic fair with a wide range of topics of interest to the community, including will and tax preparation, comprehensive health screening, effective interviewing skills, and excellence in job performance; and WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary lady, Sandra Jolla is a source of strength to many, and her endeavors reflect her dedication to helping others succeed and her commitment to the betterment of our communities; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Sandra Reese Jolla on her exceptional accomplishments and extend congratulations to her on the well-deserved tribute she is receiving at the Second Annual Spring Hat and Tea Extravaganza "Salute to Women of Distinction"; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
