SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 112
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Patricia Carroll Williams, who is being honored at the Second Annual Spring Hat and Tea Extravaganza "Salute to Women of Distinction," sponsored by the Minnie H. Goodlow Page Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Incorporated; and WHEREAS, A humanitarian and community leader, Patricia Williams has been an active member of numerous organizations and has worked throughout her life to empower her fellow citizens and to assist those in need; and WHEREAS, She is noted for her service as a leader in the child care industry through her ownership of "Wee Care" learning centers for children, for her excellence as a businesswoman, and for her service on the boards of the Center for Non-Profit Management, Texas A&M University, and the United States Small Business Administration Region VI Advisory Board; she has been recognized as Business Woman of the Year by the South Central Dallas Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Incorporated, and is listed in Who's Who Among American Women; and WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary lady, Patricia Williams is a source of strength to many, and her endeavors reflect her dedication to helping others succeed and her commitment to the betterment of our communities; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Patricia Carroll Williams on her exceptional accomplishments and extend congratulations to her on the well-deserved tribute she is receiving at the Second Annual Spring Hat and Tea Extravaganza "Salute to Women of Distinction"; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
