SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 135
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Eloise Gonzalez, who is retiring after 36 years of outstanding service as a schoolteacher at Marion Manor Elementary School in El Paso; and WHEREAS, Eloise Gonzalez was born and raised in El Paso; she graduated from Austin High School and from The University of Texas at El Paso; and WHEREAS, Eloise has dedicated her life to enriching the lives of young people; she has taught both bilingual and monolingual classes, and her students have greatly benefited from her skillful teaching methods and her wise counsel and encouragement; and WHEREAS, For her exemplary work as an educator, she has been honored with the title of Teacher of the Year; and WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Eloise has demonstrated a love of the field of education, and she has had a positive impact on the lives of countless students; and WHEREAS, Eloise is beloved and respected by her students and her colleagues in education, and her presence at Marion Manor Elementary School will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Eloise Gonzalez for her invaluable contributions to Marion Manor Elementary School and the El Paso community and extend best wishes to her for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
