SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 143

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Cam-Van Thi Tran, who is retiring on May 31, 2004, 
after 20 years of loyal service with the Office of the 
Comptroller of Public Accounts; and

	WHEREAS, Cam-Van Thi Tran joined the comptroller's office 
in August of 1984 and served in Edit Section I of the Revenue 
Processing Division; she went on to serve in several other 
sections of the division, including Edit Section II, Return and 
Document Review, and Remittance Clearing; in February of 1989, 
she transferred to the Audit Processing Section of the Revenue 
Accounting Division; she is retiring from the Revenue Accounting 
Division's Bankruptcy Section, where she has worked since June of 
1990; and

	WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Cam has been noted for her 
superior accounting and organizational skills; and

	WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, Cam has 
handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency 
and dedication; and

	WHEREAS, Cam-Van Thi Tran is an exemplary employee and is 
admired and respected by her colleagues, and her presence in the 
Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly 
missed; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend 
Cam-Van Thi Tran on her exceptional service and her many
contributions to our state and extend best wishes to her for 
the retirement years ahead; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
