Amend CSHB 1 as follows:                                                     
	On Page II-38 of CSHB 1 add the following rider:                               
	_____. Trauma Formula Distribution. It is the intent of the 
Legislature that the Department of Health allocate monies from the 
emergency medical services and trauma care system fund in 
accordance with Health and Safety Code § 773.122(c).  It is further 
the intent of the Legislature that the Department of Health weight 
the statutory criteria in such fashion that, in so far as possible, 
40 percent of the funds are allocated to urban counties and 60 
percent of the funds are allocated rural and frontier counties.
