Substitute for the Amendment to Amendment No. 201 by Davis to 
CSHB 1 by striking the existing text of the amendment to the 
amendment and substituting the following:
	Amend Amendment No. 201 by Davis to CSHB 1 (page 186, 
amendment packet), by striking the existing text of the amendment 
and substituting the following:
	Amend CSHB 1 by adding the following appropriately numbered 
rider following the Article II appropriations to the Health and 
Human Services Commission:
	_____. VENDOR DRUG PROGRAM: PRESCRIPTION DRUG LIMIT.  It is 
the intent of the legislature that the Health and Human Services 
Commission not deny a recipient of medical assistance under Chapter 
32, Human Resources Code, a prescription drug under the vendor drug 
program if the prescription drug is appropriately prescribed and, 
if the recipient receives the prescription drug, the recipient will 
not have exceeded the number of prescription drugs authorized by 
law.
