Amend CSHB 1 in Article I of the bill by adding the following 
appropriately numbered rider following the appropriations to the 
office of the attorney general:
	___.  Recognition of License to Carry Concealed Handgun 
Issued by Another State.  Contingent on the enactment and becoming 
law of House Bill 3477, or similar legislation by the 78th 
Legislature, Regular Session, relating to reciprocity agreements 
with other states concerning concealed handgun licenses, an amount 
sufficient to cover the cost to the attorney general of hiring 1.5 
FTEs to perform the duties described by that legislation is 
transferred to the attorney general out of the appropriation to the 
Department of Public Safety for each fiscal year under strategy 
B.1.8 for concealed handgun licensing (page V-43).
