Amend Amendment No. 57 by Hilderbran to CSHB 1 (page 41, 
amendment package), by striking the text of the amendment and 
substituting the following:

	
Amend CSHB 1 in Article IX of the bill by adding the following 
appropriately numbered subdivision to Section 11.29 of that 
article:
	(__)  Comptroller of Public Accounts:  an additional 
$10,950,000 for allocation to each county for payment of the 
construction and maintenance of county roads, contingent on 
enactment of HB 2458 or similar legislation changing the point of 
collection of the motor fuels taxes, by the 78th Legislature, 
Regular Session, 2003;
