Amend CSHB 4 on page 59, between lines 13 and 14, by inserting 
the following new SECTION, appropriately numbered, and renumbering 
subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION 10._____. Subchapter K, Medical Liability and 
Insurance Improvement Act of Texas (Article 4590i, Vernon's Texas 
Civil Statutes), is amended by adding Section 11.08 to read as 
follows:
	Sec. 11.08. APPLICATION TO CERTAIN CLAIMS. This subchapter 
does not apply in an action on a health care liability claim brought 
by a person who does not seek economic damages except for those 
health care related expenses that will be paid to a third party.
