Amend CSHB 4 as follows:                                                     
	On page 46, lines 19, strike Subdivision (3) and insert a new 
Subdivision (3) to read as follows:
		(3) "Health care provider" means any person, 
partnership, professional association, corporation, facility, or 
institution duly licensed, certified, registered or chartered by 
the State of Texas to provide health care as a registered nurse, 
hospital, dentist, a podiatrist, pharmacist, emergency medical 
services provider, or a nursing home or an officer, employee, or 
agent thereof acting in the course and scope of his employment.
