Amend CSHB 7 as follows:                                                     
	On page 17, strike lines 1-2 and renumber remaining items 
appropriately.     
	Insert an appropriately numbered section to read as follows:                   
	SECTION _____. TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE.  In order to 
prevent a reduction in funds appropriated to the Texas Department 
of Insurance from the General Revenue Fund (Fund 0001), and to 
ensure better regulation of the insurance industry and enforcement 
of state law, there is hereby appropriated the amount of $1,767,260 
to the General Revenue fund (Fund 0001) from the Economic 
Stabilization Fund (Fund 0599).
