Amend CSHB 54 by adding a new appropriately numbered section 
to read as follows and by renumbering the existing sections as 
appropriate:
	SECTION _____. (a) In the enforcement of the provisions of 
this Act, a district or county attorney may not for the purpose of 
intimidating a group of voters prosecute a person on account of the 
person's race, ethnicity, or age.
	(b) A person commits an offense if the person brings a 
prosecution in violation of Subsection (a) of this section.  An 
offense under this subsection is a Class B misdemeanor.
