Amend the floor substitute to CSHB 1606 as follows:                          
	1) On page 40, line 23, insert a new SECTION 2.23 as follows:                  
	SECTION 2.23. Amend Chapter 254, Election Code, by adding 
Section 254.233 to read as follows:
	All candidates and officeholders for elected office in Texas 
shall keep their campaign and officeholder contributions and 
expenditures in separate and segregated accounts from all other 
accounts.  A violation is a Class B misdemeanor.
	2) Renumber subsequent sections accordingly.
