Amend HB 2044 on third reading as follows:                                   
	(1) On page 11, line 8, between "sale" and "if", insert "under 
Subchapter E".
	(2) On page 15, line 20, strike "and".                                  
	(3) On page 15, line 22, between "Board" and the underlined 
period, insert the following:
	; and                                                                   
		(7) highway rights-of-way owned by the Texas Department 
of Transportation
	(4) On page 19, line 26, strike "named in the report" and 
substitute "identified in the evaluation report as not being used 
or being substantially underused".
	(5) On page 22, line 21, strike "Section 31.1572" and 
substitute "Sections 31.1572 and 31.1573".
	(6) On page 22, between lines 21 and 22, insert the following:                 
	Sec. 31.1572. MINERAL CONVEYANCE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN SALES. 
If the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department enters into a contract to 
sell real property it owns or under its control to a private entity, 
the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department shall convey the mineral 
rights to the property by an appropriate instrument of transfer to 
the permanent school fund before transferring title to the property 
to the private entity.
	(7) On page 22, line 22, strike "31.1572" and substitute 
"31.1573".
