Amend CSHB 2292 by adding the following appropriately 
numbered section and renumbering subsequent sections of the bill 
accordingly:
	SECTION _____. Chapter 170, Health and Safety Code, is 
amended by adding Section 170.003 to read as follows:
	Sec. 170.003. GRANTS OR LOANS TO ABORTION PROVIDERS 
PROHIBITED. (a) Notwithstanding any other law, money appropriated 
by the legislature for a grant or loan program may not be awarded 
under the program to an entity that performs abortions or to an 
affiliate of such an entity.
	(b) Notwithstanding Section 170.001, in this section 
"abortion" has the meaning assigned by Section 245.002.
