Amend CSSB 1952 (Senate committee report) by adding the 
following appropriately numbered ARTICLE to the bill and 
renumbering the other ARTICLES of the bill appropriately:

ARTICLE ____.  RETENTION OF INVESTIGATIVE RECORDS

BY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
	SECTION ____.01.  Subchapter A, Chapter 411, Government 
Code, is amended by adding Section 411.0203 to read as follows:
	Sec. 411.0203.  RETENTION OF INVESTIGATIVE RECORDS. On 
completion of an investigation for which the department is not 
otherwise required by law to retain all records relating to the 
investigation, the department shall retain all records relating to 
the investigation for at least 60 days after the date the department 
completed the investigation.
