Amend CSSB 104 as follows:                                                   
	On page 23, Section 31 (a), line 24, strike "2004" and insert:                 
	SECTION 31. (a) The changes in law made by this Act relating 
to the biennial registration of physicians apply to a person who 
files with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners an 
application for registration under Chapter 156, Occupations Code, 
as amended by this Act, on or after January 1, 2005.  A person who 
files an application before that date is governed by the law in 
effect on the date the application was filed, and the former law is 
continued in effect for that purpose.
