Amend CSSB 265 between SECTIONS 9 and 10 of the bill 
(committee printing, page 5, between lines 17 and 18), by inserting 
the following appropriately numbered SECTION and renumbering the 
SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION __. Section 21.045, Education Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
	(e)  An educator preparation program may not use a 
candidate's successful performance on a practice certification 
examination or similar examination as a requirement for:
		(1)  successful completion of the program; or                          
		(2)  taking a certification examination prescribed 
under Section 21.048(a).
