Amend CSSB 280 (House Committee Report) by adding the 
following appropriately numbered SECTION to ARTICLE 4 of the bill 
and renumbering the other SECTIONS of ARTICLE 4 of the bill 
appropriately:
	SECTION ___.  Subchapter G, Chapter 2308, Government Code, 
is amended by adding Section 2308.319 to read as follows: 
	Sec. 2308.319.  COLLABORATIVE READING INITIATIVES. The 
commission shall encourage each local workforce development board 
to raise an amount of local funds in excess of the amount required 
to meet performance measures to be used to support collaborative 
reading initiatives.
