Amend CSSB 618 in SECTION 5 of the bill, in added Section 
39.132, Education Code, after Subsection (b) (committee printing 
page 4, between lines 8 and 9), by inserting the following 
subsection:
	(c)  The special campus intervention team described by 
Subsection (b) shall, in consultation with teachers and parents of 
students at the campus:
		(1)  conduct a comprehensive on-site evaluation of the 
campus to determine the cause for the campus's low performance and 
lack of progress;
		(2)  make recommendations regarding reallocation of 
resources and technical assistance, changes in school procedures 
and operations, or other actions the team considers appropriate; 
and
		(3)  develop a campus plan for student achievement.
