Amend CSSB 929 as follows:                                                   
	(1)  On page 1, between lines 12 and 13, insert a new SECTION 2 
as follows:  
	SECTION 2.  Subchapter B, Chapter 8, Education Code, is 
amended by adding Section 8.009 to read as follows:
	Sec. 8.009.  Sunset Provision.  (a)  Regional education 
service centers are subject to Chapter 325, Government Code (Texas 
Sunset Act) in conjunction with the Texas Education Agency.
	(b)  Unless continued in existence by Chapter 325, Government 
Code, regional education service centers are abolished September 1, 
2005.
	(2)  Strike SECTIONS 3 and 4.                                                  
	(3)  Renumber SECTIONS of the bill accordingly.
