On SB 929 on third reading, amend second reading Amendment 
No. 1 as follows:
	Insert the following at the end of Sec. 8009, as added by 
Amendment No. 1, by Dutton:
	To assist the commission in its review, the comptroller of 
public accounts shall conduct a review of the regional education 
centers, and report the results of the review to the commission 
before March 1, 2004.  The comptroller of public accounts shall 
consult with the commission regarding the scope of the review.  The 
report shall also be transmitted to the presiding officers of the 
standing committee in the senate and house of representatives 
responsible for public education.
