Amend CSSB 1017 as follows:                                                  
	(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, in the recital (House committee 
printing, page 1, lines 4 and 5), strike "Section 89.004(a), Local 
Government Code, is amended" and substitute "Section 89.004, Local 
Government Code, is amended by amending Subsection (a) and adding 
Subsection (c)".
	(2)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, immediately following amended 
Section 89.004(a), Local Government Code (House committee 
printing, page 1, between lines 12 and 13), insert the following:
	(c)  In this section, "claim" does not include a request for 
injunctive relief or its underlying cause of action.
