Amend CSSB 1678 in Section 3 of the bill, in amended Section 
508.034(a)(4), Government Code (House committee printing, page 2, 
lines 8-9), by striking ", except when the absence is excused by 
[majority vote of] the presiding officer [board]" and substituting 
"[, except when the absence is excused by majority vote of the 
board]".
