BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

The state of Texas has a rich and diverse background and culture. The

Month by promoting interest in and knowledge of Texas history.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any
additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or
institution.

adding Section 662.102 which would designate the month of March as Texas
History Month.
