DIGEST AND PURPOSE

Currently, the board of trustees of a school district is required to
provide each term contract teacher with a copy of the board's employment
policies. H.B. 912 requires school districts to supply a paper copy only
on request, but also requires districts with websites to set forth
employment policies on the Internet. The bill is intended to provide
financial relief by lowering the paper and printing obligations of school
districts.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to
a state officer, institution, or agency.
