H.B. 1454
By: Eiland
Land & Resource Management
Committee Report (Amended)

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Many subdivisions along the Texas coast were created a long time ago.
Some subdivision restrictions now need to be updated to include provisions
for the collection of maintenance fees and for assessments in order to
protect the shore and deal with storm damage. H.B. 1454 authorizes
residents in counties with a population of 2.8 million or more, or a
county with a population of 250,000 or more that is adjacent to a county
with a population of 2.8 million or more to amend the restrictions on
residential real estate subdivisions
