RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Section 32.043(a), Government Code, effective September 1, 2003, to authorize the Commissioners Court of Collin County, notwithstanding Section 659.012, to budget for and pay the judges of the district courts having jurisdiction in the county an annual salary set by the commissioners court for services rendered and for performing administrative services. SECTION 2. Reenacts Section 32.043(a), Government Code, effective September 1, 2007, to authorize the Commissioners Court of Collin County to budget for and pay the judges of the district courts having jurisdiction in the county an annual salary set by the commissioners court for services rendered and for performing administrative services. SECTION 3. Amends Section 32.227(a), Government Code, effective September 1, 2003, to authorize the Commissioners Court of Travis County, notwithstanding Section 659.012, to pay the judges of the district courts having jurisdiction in the county an annual salary in an amount set by the commissioners court for services rendered and for performing administrative duties. SECTION 4. Reenacts Section 32.227(a), Government Code, effective September 1, 2007, to authorize the Commissioners Court of Travis County to pay the judges of the district courts having jurisdiction in the county an annual salary in an amount set by the commissioners court for services rendered and for performing administrative duties. SECTION 5. Repealer: Sections 32.043(d) (Collin County) and 32.227(c) (Travis County), Government Code. SECTION 6. Effective date: September 1, 2003.
