Currently, the district attorney of the 156th Judicial District, if there
is not a county attorney in McMulln County, may perform the duties of the

costs for its attorney to handle matters in McMullen County. H.B. 3461
deletes the provision authorizing the district attorney to perform the
duties of the county attorney in McMullen County.
