H.B. 3605 expands the court's jurisdiction to include certain contested guardianship matters. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Sections 25.1132(c) and (e), Government Code, as follows: (c) Provides that a county court at law in Hood County has concurrent jurisdiction with the district court in contested guardianship matters under Section 606(b), Texas Probate Code. Makes conforming changes. (e) Makes a conforming change. SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2003.
