As proposed, S.B. 215 removes the statutory prohibition against office holders serving as election judges. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Repealer: Section 32.052, Election Code (prohibiting a person who holds an elective public office from serving as an election judge or clerk). SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2003.
