DIGEST AND PURPOSE

Section 36.060(d), Water Code, provides that Section 36.060 prevails over
any other law in conflict with or inconsistent with this section,
including a special law governing a specific district. This section also
states that if the application of this section results in an increase in
the fees of office for any district, that district's fees of office shall

groundwater conservation district directors' per diems in Chapter 36 of
the Texas Water Code only applies to districts whose directors are
entitled to receive a fee of office.
