DIGEST AND PURPOSE

Currently, the cost of a college education in this state is rising. The
Early High School Graduation Scholarship encourages students to graduate
from high school early, thereby saving the state money in public
education. As proposed, S.B. 1163 raises the amount of the Early High
School Graduation Scholarship to meet the demands of a higher-priced
college education.
