A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the eligibility of a federal administrative law judge 
to receive U.S. Judge license plates.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.   Section 502.297(g)(1), Transportation Code, is 
amended to read as follows:
		(1)  "Federal judge" means:                                                   
			(A)  a judge of the Fifth Circuit Court of 
Appeals;                        
			(B)  a judge or a magistrate of a United States 
district court; [or]
			(C)  a judge of a United States bankruptcy court; 
or                
			(D)  a federal administrative law judge.                              
	SECTION 2.   This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
