A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the allowable operating expenses of certain 9-1-1
emergency communication districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 772.217, Health and Safety Code, is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 772.217. ALLOWABLE EXPENSES. Allowable operating
expenses of a district include all costs attributable to designing
and operating a 9-1-1 system and costs for related services [to all
equipment and personnel necessary to establish and operate a public
safety answering point and other related answering points] that the
board considers necessary.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
